I am aghast, and personally shamed. I have slip cast a lot of picture frames in my day. More than I like to admit. Yet I have never once thought about bordering the lip of a plate with a frame. Actually I can't beleive this is the first time I have ever seen someone doing this.
The folks a D-Vision have beaten us all to it.

You shouldn't be ashamed. This is sweet pottery... but not the most creative use of a slipcast frame that I can think of. You should take it from here.
Yes, add some corner ornament. A stylized leaf motif would do well here!
